Purebasic : what kind of setup.....

Postby WhiteWolf » 23 Dec 2016 16:14

Wel i was wondering what kind of setup our Purebasic coders are running.
I understand that the setup depends on what you want to do with Purebasic.
The setup of a gamedevelopper is different then a program or application software developper.
So thats why im just curious if you are into Purebasic coding what tools you use and add ons you have installed to help you code your developments.

I am just starting to code with this wonderful program,(thanx inc) and im mostly trying to build demo and intro stuff.
The latest project is demo coding with GLSL shaders.

    Purebasic Setup installed :

    Mp3DLib (for oldskool demomaking stuff)
    PureColor 500
    WinAPI Library
(¯`·._.·currently working on Windows [AM]WEBDEFF Editor DemoTool Project.·._.·´¯)

My setup consists of the following libraries as I tend to do a lot of cracktro remakes

Mp3D - I tend not to use it very much as it relies on an external DX dll that generates an error if it's not installed on the target computer. Nice physics effects though.

My custom written libraries:
OldSkoolMusicEngine - I created this library by using PureProcs and Zippys dll all rolled into one file.
DrawTransparentImage - PB can only use DrawAplhaImage from a PNG but this adds a lot of KBs to your EXE using the PNGImageDecoder() option.
FlipSprite,MirrosSprite,FlipImage,RotateImage,MirrorImage,2DStars,3DStars
Depacker - Atari ST depacker effects
SinusLines - 7 different sinus line effects
ScrollerLibrary v3 - sine disting, custom colours etc.
Plotfast - fast direct screen memory plotting

Other tools I use are STEEM with the ultimate ripper and my usual ST cracking and debugging tools.
PaintShop Pro - it's old but it's still very good.
UPX
Sndh replayer - my own player to test out tunes
(-_-) ĸrazyĸ - reмaĸιng ѕт cracĸтroѕ ιn pυreвaѕιc (-_-)

yes, in some kind it is a lil bit annoying with the missing DX9 dll on some win OS. but MP3D Lib is a really nice powerful Framework :D
