How to convert tracker music into wav,mp3, etc.?
Launch XMPlay :) Go to "Options and stuff". In left panel choose "Device". In "Output" group in "Device" combobox choose "WAV Writer". In "File writing" group in "Directory" choose path to folder in wich wav file will be saved. That's all - now open your music file and push play - it will be saved in choosen path in WAV format!
Launch WinAmp :) Go to "Preferences". In left panel choose "Plugins-Output". In "Output plug-ins" group choose "Nullsoft Disk Writer plug-in" and configure it as you wish(choose folder, etc.). That's all - now open your music file and push play - it will be saved in choosen path in WAV format!
How to convert tracker music into mp3 using VLC (the way that should work on any modern OS)
Open VLCPlayer, then go to "Media" and select "Convert/Save". Click "Add..." and select the .XM or .MOD file. Then click "Convert/Save" at the bottom. Click browse, and pick the location of where you want to save the new file, then add ".mp3" at the end. Back at the convert screen, under the dropdown next to "Profile", select "Audio - MP3". Press "Start", the progress bar will start moving forward, when it jumps back to the start it's done converting.
