Mega Visions cover artist, Rob Duenas, has put the finishing touches on our launch cover featuring the funkiest duo in video games - ToeJam and Earl! Showcasing these two iconic characters is very important to us for several reasons.
First, like we said during our Kickstarter campaign, each issue of Mega Visions will be deeply rooted in classic SEGA games, where we'll delve into your favorite franchises of the past. Aside from Sonic and Tails, Toejam and Earl are arguably the most popular SEGA duo during the Genesis era, so this was a relatively easy choice.
Second, as we'll also be looking to the future of SEGA and Atlus games, including games that have ties to SEGA like the upcoming ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove, it gives us an opportunity feature the new TJ&E entry.
This issue will include a cover story written by "Console Wars" author Blake Harris, where he'll tell the story of Greg Johnson's journey to create a new entry in the ToeJam and Earl series. We'll also deliver a full series retrospective and a spotlight on the TJ&E sound team who have been hard at work to put a new spin on the classic funky tunes that has been a huge part of the series.
Now that our cover is complete, we'll soon be ordering the prints and other physical rewards for those of you who backed us at those tiers. We'll have another update in the next couple weeks to give you more details on when shipping will begin. (Note: If you haven't already completed our survey, please do so we can ensure we have your correct mailing address.)
That about wraps things up for this update, Mega Fans. As we continue to move closer to the launch of our first issue, we'll be sharing more details of what you'll find in Mega Visions #1. We really think you're going to love it!
Until next time ...
